For one of our clients, a financial institution based in Geneva, we are looking for a : 

Credit Risk Officer

Permanent contract - 100%

Description de la mission

  • Credit assessment: Evaluating credit applications from clients or counterparties to assess associated risks, including analyzing creditworthiness, credit history, cash flows, and other relevant factors.
  • Policy development: Contributing to the development of credit policies and procedures to determine credit granting criteria, credit limits, and risk management strategies.
  • Portfolio monitoring: Regularly monitoring credit portfolios to identify emerging risks, market trends, and potential asset quality issues.
  • Risk management: Implementing strategies to manage and mitigate credit risks, including establishing control and monitoring measures, and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • Reporting and communication: Preparing credit risk reports for management and regulatory bodies, and communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders on credit risk-related matters.
  • Regulatory compliance: Ensuring that the institution complies with all relevant regulations and guidelines regarding credit risk, and participating in regulatory reviews and internal audits.


Profil attendu

  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, assess creditworthiness, and identify potential risks effectively.
  • Attention to detail: Being meticulous in examining credit applications, financial statements, and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Problem-solving skills: Capacity to identify credit risk issues and develop effective solutions to mitigate them.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey credit risk information to various stakeholders, including management, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Integrity and ethics: Upholding high ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive financial information and making credit-related decisions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, regulations, and organizational requirements.
  • Teamwork: Collaboration with colleagues across different departments, such as underwriting, compliance, and finance, to ensure effective credit risk management.
  • Knowledge of regulations: Understanding of relevant financial regulations and guidelines governing credit risk management in the financial industry.
  • Master degree in finance, international business or acconting
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in credit risk in banking sector - in Switerland
