On behalf of a European Headquarter (FMCG company) setting up its office in Lausanne, we are searching for a

 Regional Financial Controller

Reporting to the CFO

Description de la mission

Finance :
  • You ensure implementation of applicable accounting rules (US GAAP, [Swiss GAAP] in conjunction with Statutory & Tax Manager) and guarantee the integrity, comprehensiveness and accuracy of accounts
  • You supervise the timely completion of the periodic and quarterly close process, ensuring complete and accurate financial statements and related key metrics such as same-store sales growth and unit count. Key deliverables include the periodic common reporting package, quarterly balance sheet reviews, MD&A packages, and management representation letters
  • You identify and partner with Division Controller to resolve any new or significant accounting and reporting issues that arise each quarter
  • You supervise accounting & consistency checks (bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, entry testing…)
  • You participate to the design of the internal control framework, in conjunction with Group reporting & audit
  • You control spend & investment by project, type & department, and report to account holders
  • You collaborate with the Statutory & Tax Manager to ensure tax & statutory reporting of the entities
  • You forecast & manage cashflow, to ensure an appropriate level of funding & optimal allocation of reserves with Group treasury and manage relationships with local banks
  • You collaborate with Head of Planning to deliver actionable monthly/quarterly/annual management reporting
Admin & Systems : 
  • You design & implement administrative processes to support control framework, in partnership with relevant departments (approval matric & workflow, PO tracking, expense policy, procurement policy)
  • You implement & adapt systems to support & automate financial processes (expense reports, treasury management, management reporting, AP management, AR management)
  • You serve on task forces as necessary (e.g. new system implementations)
  • You provide expertise on ad hoc topics to Peers, Franchise Partners

Profil attendu

  • Finance/Accounting qualifying Degree (CPA or equivalent) ; advanced university degree (Master's or Equivalent)
  • Min 7 years of experience in accounting, audit, financial control; prior experience in a large international corporation is mandatory ; knowledge of the multi-site retail industry is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of finance, accounting, tax & administrative processes
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting framework ; knowledge of Swiss GAAP is a plus
  • Proficiency with Finance tools & systems (ERP – JDE a plus - , Reporting – HFM a plus, Office)
